Editable Behaviour Chart to ensure child can visually see their targets and progress throughout the week.
There are three targets on here, but please only use three if your child can cope with this!
Sessions are editable as you may have a different timetable.
I have used examples of some of the targets I use - remember to make yours as SMART as possible!
Reflection box to chat with the child about their day and what to focus on tomorrow.
Parent/Carer/Home/Teacher box to ensure communication with home. (All editable)
A Feelings Check In Resource to go with my Calm Corner Collection.
Includes:

A Feelings Check In Sheet x 2
Strategies
Emotions
Calm Corners are great to use but you need to ensure that the area isn’t just for show and actually benefits the child. Using a feelings check alongside a behaviour chart and tracker paints an informative picture of:
What triggers the child.
Which strategies they have attempted
Which strategies work.
What you have done IN CLASS to help the child.
Teacher modelling of a) using the Calm Corner and b) class expected behaviour when a child is using the Calm Corner is crucial.
When using the calm corner, the child selects the emotion they are feeling and two strategies to combat it. Once the strategies have been completed children can either check in with an adult (sheet with big box) or self-evaluate and see if they are ready to re-enter the learning or need another strategy. Rules about timers and chances to check in with an adult may be useful here to avoid the never-ending cycle of strategies.
Hold a class discussion on the Calm Corner, read a story or discuss feelings that sometimes need to be calmed. Create a class rule that encapsulates that when a child is using the Calm Corner that is their time and space and we must let them carry on.
A feelings check in provides:
A visual and purposeful way for the child to recognise and choose strategies for coping with their emotions.
A record for you as a practitioner to build up your bank of information and evidence of the strategies used in the classroom to help the child for meetings/discussions with parents, SMT, ALNCOs, and external agencies.
. A record to refer back to when identifying triggers; lessons, events, interactions.
You can use these as worksheets that are filled in, laminated velcro sheets that can be photographed for evidence, or digitally edited with the child and kept in a folder.
A teacher behaviour tracker to go along with my behaviour chart, Feelings Check In and Calm Down Corner Resources.
This can be edited and used to keep a running record of children’s triggers, actions, strategies used and outcomes.
